TERRILL and LOUISA his wife of Spencer County and State of Kentucky to JAMES DOWNS of same ... for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to them in hand paid have granted & sold and forever quit claim a certain tract or parcel of land situated in Spencer County on Salt River containing about 56 acres be the same more or less and bounded by a corner to LILLY... KY Court Benjamin DOWNS and wife Lydia (WILSON) DOWNS lived on Simpsons Creek. They were married 7 July 1798 in Nelson Co. KY. I don't have a bond for the marriage. James B. DOWNS married Elizabeth SHIELDS 27 Oct 1835 In Spencer Co. KY and is buried in the Little Union Cemetery in Spencer Co.
