11 July 1836 Spencer Co. Deed Book D p. 280  Thompson W. KING and Isabella KING his wife of the 
County of Nelson and State of Kentucky of the one part and George WELLS Senr. of the County of 
Spencer and State aforesaid of the other part... that for and in consideration of the Sum of Six 
hundred and thirty three Dollars to them in hand paid have given granted bargained and Sell one 
certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Spencer and State of 
Kentucky containing by survey Forty acres on the Waters of Salt River and bounded by the WELLS 
tract to the north.... being the same which was allotted to Jacintha REDDISH one of the heirs of 
Abner KING Dec'd in the division of the land of the said Deceased among his heirs.

30 May 1837  Spencer Co. Deed Book D p. 409  George WELLS Senr. and his wife Fanny WELLS of the 
County of Spencer and State of Kentucky of the One part to Elijah WIGGINTON of the County and 
State aforesaid of the other part that for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred 
dollars to them in hand paid do hereby give, grant bargain and sell one Certain Tract or parcel 
of Land Situate Lying and being in the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky Containing by 
Survey Eighty four acres and 18 poles and bounded as follows towit:  Beginning at a large white 
oak corner to William BEARD now E. WIGGINTON, thence north Seventy eight Degrees east one hundred 
and thirty two Poles to three hickories and ash on Patrick MCGEE's line then South thirty two 
degrees East One hundred and twenty poles to a hickory and walnut on the edge of a branch then 
north eighty three degrees West Seventeen poles to a Hickory thence up said branch south eighty 
five degrees west fifty four poles thence north eighty degrees west eighty poles thence north 
sixty one degrees west thirty six poles to a walnut on the edge of said branch thence North 
fifteen degrees west forty seven and three fourth poles to the Beginning it being the same tract 
of Land which was Conveyed to said George WELLS by Abigail BRIDWELL.
