KY Deed Book B p. 420 This indenture made the 23rd day of August, 1830 between Joseph MITCHELL of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky of the one part to Richard REDMAN of the County of Nelson, State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the same Joseph MITCHELL for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy six dollars and seven and one half cents to him in hand paid by the said Richard REDMAN... hath granted, bargained and sold the said Richard REDMAN a certain tract or parcel of land lying situate in the county of Spencer containing by survey one hundred and eight acres and a half on Camp Branch on the Waters of Simpson’s Creek... Provided Nevertheless that the said MITCHELL stands indebted to the said Richard REYNOLDS for the sum of one hundred and seventy six dollars seven and 1/2 cents by note bearing the date 23 Aug 1830 payable 25 Oct 1831 and to bear interest from the date. Now if the said Joseph MITCHELL shall well and truly pay and satisfy the said Richard REYNOLDS, his heirs and execs on or before 25 Dec 1831 this indenture to cease.
