KY spelling and punctuation left as on the original document This Indenture made this fifteenth day of March One thousand Eight hundred and thirty one between Peter MILLER and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Jacob DOOLAN of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth: That the said Peter MILLER and Elizabeth his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars Current money of the United States to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell alien release Convey and Confirm unto the said Jacob DOOLAN his heirs Exectors administrators and assign a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on Knob Creek or its waters in Said County and bounded as follows towit Begining at two beeches standing in John RILEY'S line & being one of said MILLER'S corners thence North fifty five Degrees West twenty poles to a stake thence North sixty nine degrees West twenty poles to a Sugartree Thence North fifty two degrees West fifty six poles to a Sycamor and Gum Thence North Seventy two West seventeen poles to a stake thence North Eighty degrees West thirteen poles to a Sycamore and Beech thence North Sixty Degrees West seventeen poles to a fork of a branch thence North Forty degrees East sixteen poles to a beech thence North fifty three degrees East thirty four poles to a beech and elm thence South Eighty five poles to a white oak on a ridge South sixty degrees East fourteen poles to a black Jack North eighty three degrees East Eighteen poles to two black oaks South twenty one degrees North Seventy one degrees East twenty poles to two white oaks South ten degrees East sixteen poles to a chesnut and beech thence East Eighteen poles to a white oak and chesnut oak North twenty degrees East twelve poles to two chesnuts thence East Eighteen poles to a small hickory and a small black oak in RILEY'S line thence with said line South forty degrees West Eight poles to the beginning Being part of that tract which was conveyed by Martin HARSHFIELD to said Peter MILLER by deed duly recorded in the Clerks office of the Bullitt County Court reference being thereto had will more fully appear and being also part of John RILEY'S 7031 acre survey which tract hereby conveyed contains fifty one acres more or less To Have and To Hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the said Jacob DOOLAN his heirs Executors and administraters and to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and the said Peter MILLER and Elizabeth his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators Covenant and agree to and with the said Jacob DOOLAN that they will and theri heirs shall warrant and forever defend to the said Jacob DOOLIN hi heirs executors & administrators the said tract or parcel of land from themselves their heirs executors and administrators and all persons claiming the same by thro' from or under them or either of them. In Testimony whereof the said Peter MILLER and Elizabeth his wife hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written.Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of his N.B. All Interlineations & erasures made before signed Peter X MILLER mark State of Kentucky Bulllitt County Court Office __ August 1831 This Indenture was this day produced to me the Clerk of the Court for said county and acknowledged by Peter MILLER grantor therin named to be his act & deed and the same is thereupon duly recorded in my office.
