Deed Book C p. 44 Ezekiel NEWMAN and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Spencer and commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part to Bernard PIKE of the County of Washington and Commonwealth aforesaid that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars to them in hand paid have given granted bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Spencer containing by survey Forty one acres it being the Lott in the division of the lands of James MARTIN dec’d among his heirs and which was allotted by the aforesaid James MARTIN dec’d who had particularly conveyed all his interest therein to the aforesaid Ezekiel NEWMAN.
