For and in consideration of the sum of nineteen hundred and thirty seven Dollars to him in hand paid doth grant bargain sell and convey the following real and personal property Towit: One Small tract of land adjoining the land of James McGLAUGHLIN on Goose Creek, Spencer County containing ten acres and for which the said L, ROBY holds James McGLAUGHLINS bond for a deed also one seventh part of the tract of land on which John ROBY lived and died being his the s'd Lawrence ROBY's undivided interest as one of the Heirs of the John & which descended to him. also three Head of horses Towit: one Grey Horse, One Bay horse & Bay Mare, 12 head of Cattel, 8 Head of Sheep, 60 Head of Hogs and four waggon and 5 pair of waggon gear, one Distillery consisting of one copper still & one log slide, mash, Tubs flake stands ---- one wheat fan, one clock, one Bureau, Two Beds & furniture three plows four saddles 3 mens saddles and one Ladies saddle & four bridles & one hundred Bushels of Corn and about 80 acres of growing wheat oats and rye 80 acres growing corn 15 acres of meadow. To have to hold the above described property to him the said PORTER with the following Conditions Towit: That if the said Lawrence ROBY shall well and truly pay to the said William PORTER fourteen hundred Dollars which the said PORTER had to pay to settle with Moses V. BUCKNER for the s'd ROBY and for which the s'd ROBY this day executed his three several notes of hand to the said PORTER one for $466.33 1/3 cents due 1 March 1843, one for like sum due 1 March 1844 and one for like sum due 1 March 1845 And also pay off and discharge the following notes on which the said PORTER stands bound as security for the s'd ROBY, one to Alfred HEDGES, Administrator of Robert HEDGES Dec'd for $53 due Oct 1842, one note to Nicholas PORTER for $44 due March 1843 and one note to Henry CRAYCROFT for $55 due 25 Dec 1842, one note to Dr. Frederick JOHNSTON for $45 due 1 Aug 1843 , one note to Charles HALL for $235 due 1 August 1843 as the several notes become due ..
