Spencer Co. Deed Book G p. 458  
I have a Son whose name is Richard M. REYNOLDS who was bound in the year 1829 he 
was eighteen years old the 13 day of last April. I do hereby certify that he has been 
a good industrious and obedient child to me for with I have this day let him at liberty
he is hearby free from me to do as he pleases to work for himself and to have the benefit
 of his labor, he is free to make his own contracts which he will have to abide by I will 
not be bound for any contract that he may make nor will I bind him in any contract that I 
may make without his consent.  3 May 1847
