26 Nov 1827 Spencer Co. Deed Book A p. 121  John P. SHAW and Jane his wife of the one part 
to James Mc DONALD of the other part all of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky... 
for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars Current money to them in hand paid have 
bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County 
of Spencer on the waters of Crooked Creek being part of a survey pattented to Levi 
HOLLINGSWORTH for 9000 acres and bounded by PHILIP’s line, SMITH’s east corner and MILLER’s 
Corner in STERLING’s line.

consideration of the sum of forty one dollars lawful money in hand paid hath granted

the waters of Little Beach Creek (amount of acres is too damaged to read)... bounded by 
COOKS line.

the sum of Twenty Dollars current money of Kentucky to him in hand paid hath bargained and 
sold one third of an acre of land in the Town of Mount Eaden it being lot #16 in the State 
of Kentucky as represented in the plot of the same.
