Deed Book A p. 62 (the beginning of the deed is damaged and unreadable but it is a deed from JOHN SIMPSON to BAILY DAWSON.... “woman named JENNY about 28 years of age and a Negro Girl named ROSE about 10 years old also a Negro child named MARY about Two years old also four notes on ANDREW BOYLE calling for about six hundred and ninety Dollars also one Bay horse and four head of cattle ... I bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and defend against the just claims of all persons whomsoever unto the said DAWSON his heirs forever ... in return the said DAWSON to take care and support the said SIMPSON in a decent and comfortable manner as long as the said SIMPSON lives.. the said DAWSON binding himself to pay any person that the said SIMPSON may wish to live with all reasonable charges ... that he will furnish said SIMPSON with every necessary that the Said SIMPSON agreeable to his present age may stand and when it Shall please God to call said SIMPSON home said DAWSON will Bury him in a Decent Manner.
