KY you are hereby requested to make a Deed to William PORTER for the said Land which I purchased under the execution of Susan PORTER against Thomas THURMAN for two hundred dollars and 39 acres and in so doing you will oblige yours, Nicholas PORTER a notation follows saying the deed was made out as directed and received 3 May 1834, Spencer Co. KY 15 August 1839 Spencer Co. Deed Book E p. 129 Culbertson BOYLL and Nancy BOYLL his wife of Spencer County and State of Kentucky to Silas THURMAN and Posey D. GRANT of the other part all of Spencer County, state aforesaid... for and in consideration of the sum of eighty five Dollars Seventy One cents to them in hand paid have given granted bargained & sold all right, title claim and interest they may have as part of the heirs of Baze THURMAN Dec'd in and to the Land belonging to the heirs of Baze THURMAN lying on Powells Run in Spencer County and State of Kentucky. For and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty nine Dollars & fifty Cents to them in hand paid hath granted bargained and sold all their right title and interest in and to Two thirds of a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Spencer and on the waters of Brashears Creek it being the same tract upon which Edmund THURMAN lived and died the interest hereby conveyed is the one third portion of said tract of land that descended to the aforesaid Elizabeth the widow.
