Subject: Deeds: WELLS, BRIDWELL, ASH, WIGGINTON, HOPEWELL

29 Jan 1827 Abigail BRIDWELL of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky
of the one part and George WELLS of the county and State aforesaid.  For and
in consideration of the sum of four hundred and twenty five dollars Current
money of the United States to them in hand paid have granted, bargained and
sold a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Spencer County
Kentucky being a part of Patrick McGEEs Survey where I now live .

of Spencer Co. and State of Kentucky of the one part to George BEARD of
same... that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to
them in hand paid have bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land
lying and being in Spencer County on the waters of Camp branch containing 61
acres and bounded by  Jonas L.  KERRICK (or possibly JONES & KERRICK)

wife of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky to Joseph McGREW of same
that for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars lawful
money of Kentucky to them in hand paid doth bargain and sell a certain tract
of land lying in the county of Spencer and State of Kentucky on the first
large branch below the mouth of Brashears Creek.

3 August 1830 Spencer Co. Deed Book A p.  410  Bryant BLAND and Patsy his
wife, late Patsy WELLS, one of the Devisees if George WELLS, Dec'd of the
County of Nelson and State of Kentucky of the one part and George WELLS of
the County of Spencer and State aforesaid of the other part that for and in
Consideration of the Sum of Ten hundred and fifty eight Dollars and twenty
five cents to them in hand paid  Have granted bargained and sold a tract of
land situate lying and being in Spencer County which Tract of Land said
George WELLS Dec'd purchased of and received a title for from Jonathan BEADLE
containing by survey one hundred and Thirty Six and one half acres, for which
is now of record in the Clerk's Office of Shelby County Court reference
thereto for the more special description and identification ... also the
right title and interest in and to a Negro man man Slave named Solomon which
belonged to the estate of said George WELLS Dec'd.

23 October 1830 Spencer Co. Deed Book A p. 442  William WELLS and Mildred
WELLS his Wife of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky to Newman WELLS
of the Same County and State... for and in consideration of Six hundred
Dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid have granted
bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being
in the County of Spencer and State aforesaid and bounded as follows:
Beginning at a large beech in John P. HARRISON's line and running South Sixty
one degrees East eighty seven on and a fourth poles to a Stone on the east
side of the main road leading from Shelbyville to Fairfield, A. KING's corner
thence with his line South twenty Degrees East twenty two and a half poles to
a stone in s'd road another of KING's corners thence North twenty eight and
three fourth degrees East sixteen poles to a sugartree in HARRISON's old line
....
