13 April 1830  Spencer Co. Deed Book A p. 377  William WELLS and Mildred his 
wife of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky to Joseph McGREW of same 
that for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars lawful 
money of Kentucky to them in hand paid doth bargain and sell a certain tract of 
land lying in the county of Spencer and State of Kentucky on the first large 
branch below the mouth of Brashears Creek.
