The sudden going of any one always causes deep sorrow but when a young wife and mother is called from her companion and her six little children our sorrow becomes much greater and again we are reminded of the uncertainty of life. Mrs. Neal was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. STEVENS and spent her girlhood near Taylorsville. She was educated in the county schools and in a Taylorsville school. She taught a few years in the schools of the county before she married. She was naturally refined and of a sweet disposition. Hers was a beautiful character, and though she was very reserved her influence was felt by many and it will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best. Her filial affection was outstanding and her devotion to her husband and their children was beautiful Mrs. NEAL fainted Friday but revived and at three o'clock Saturday morning assured Mr. NEAL that she was feeling much better, about 5:30 that morning she had a heart attack and passed away before the physician who had been summoned could arrive, Coroner H. P. ALLISON was called and his verdict was that death was due to acute dilation of the heart. She was thirty three years of age. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Annie STEVENS, by her husband and six children, the eldest of whom is nine years old and the youngest less than six weeks old, two brothers Lee STEVENS of Taylorsville, and Humphrey of Bloomfield, two sisters Mrs. Effie CHOWNING and Mrs. Elizabeth NEAL. The funeral service was conducted at the grave in VAlley Cemetery Sunday afternoon by her pastor Rev. RAGLAND. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
