Deed Book A p. 402 WILLIAM JOHNSTON and PATSEY PREWITT of Spencer County of the one part and LINDSEY W. GEORGE of Shelby County Kentucky of the other part that for and in Consideration of the sum of One Dollar Current money of the United States to them in hand paid have granted bargained and sold one House and Lott in the Town of Taylorsville known in the plan of said Town by its #15 and purchased by the said JOHNSTON of a FITZHENRY. Also one negro boy slave named JACKSON about 15 years old. Nevertheless the above Lot and Slave is declared to be given in mortgage to Secure the payments of the sum of three hundred and thirty five dollars in gold or silver with six percent per annum interest until thereon to be computed from the first day of May 1830 until paid the payment to be made on or before the first day of September 1830. Now if the said JOHNSTON & PREWITT or either of them shall well and truly pay to the said LINDSEY W. GEORGE the aforesaid sum before the first day of September 1830 the lien herein will be null and void. Recorded 8 July 1830 Spencer Co.
