Rev. Kirtley Preston Jolly, age 77, died Friday, March 12, 1999, at the Taylorsville Health 
Care Center.  He was a native of Davies County, a retired Baptist minister, having served as 
pastor of Short Creek Baptist Church, Falmouth, KY; Chaplin Baptist Church, Chaplin KY., 
First Baptist Church, Independence, KY and East Side Baptist Church, Campbellsville.  He was 
a member of First Baptist Church, Taylorsville.

Survivors include his wife, Glenna Holt Jolly; one daughter, Patti Hill of Costa Mesa, CA; 
five sons, Randall Jolly of Philadelphia, PA; Mark Jolly of Independence, KY; Dwayne and 
Kyle Jolly, both of Taylorsville; and Eric Swinford of California, KY; his mother, Zelma 
Anderson Jolly of Owensboro; one sister, Joyce George of Madisonville; one brother, Kenneth 
Jolly of Owensboro; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday March 14, at Houghlin Funeral Home, 
Bloomfield, with Dr. Bob Sutton and Rev. Mavis Bennett officiating.  Interment was in 
Highview Cemetary at Chaplin.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children; Bloomfield Big 
Springs Assembly of God Church building fund; First Baptist Church of Taylorsville building 
fund or Gideon International.
