The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net. *********************************************************************** Spencer Co Deed Book B p. 302 Whereas I have filed my Bill in the Spencer Circuit Court against JOSHUA McDONALD for a Divorce and whereas there has been allimony allowed me by the Judge of said Court, Commissioners having been appointed and allotted to me the one third of said Negroes as follows: NED, Little HARRIETT, LYDIA, BONAPART, NELLY, MARGARET and AMY Which report is returned and whereas Security was required to the Bond by one to be executed and THOMAS FOREMAND and JOHN FOREMAN, NATHANIEL B. WOOD, THOMAS PARKER and ABRAHAM VANDYKE having entered with me as my Security... I Mary B. McDONALD for and in Consideration of the premises aforesaid and for one dollar to me in hand paid by them the aforesaid THOMAS FOREMAN (and others) have given granted bargained and Sold the aforesaid Negroes above named to them their heirs & assigns forever... on the condition that I shall well and faithfully on my part have ready to deliver over and shall well and truly deliver over the aforesaid Negroes to me allotted as aforesaid and at all times have them ready to abide any order or decree the court hereafter to be made and truly keep the aforesaid from any damages and liabilities from having gone my security then this obligation to be void.
