Will Book B p. 520 In the name of God Amen, I CHARLES BOWMAN of Spencer County Ky being in feeble health but of sound mind and disposing memory considering the uncertainty of life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (to wit). Item: I desire all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid . Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife PATIENCE BOWMAN all the remainder of my estate real personal and mixed except my real estate (to wit) houses and lots in the Town of Taylorsville to have and to hold the same during her natural life but to have no power to sell or convey any of said real estate. Item: I desire my executors herein after named with the advice of my wife when it can be done without a sacrifice to sell my property in the Town of Taylorsville and any surplus personal property that they may have and the proceeds to be put in the hands of my wife so that at any time she may think proper she may distribute amongst my grandchildren or to my daughter (s?) and take account of the same. Item: I desire my executors after the death of my wife to have commissioners appointed to divide all my real estate land and negroes equally amongst my grandchildren and i do hereby ordain, constitute and appoint by grandson B. B. STILWELL and JAMES LUCKEY my grandson-in-law Executors to carry this my last will and testament into effect with counsel and advice of my wife PATIENCE BOWMAN. It is further my desire that honorable County Court of Spencer shall not require any security of aforesaid executors and take out a probate of this my last will and testament - In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hadn and affixed my seal this 20th day of January 1845. STILWELL and JAS LACKEY, Executors of CHARLES BOWMAN Dec’d the Sum of three Thousand three hundred and forty eight Dollars & .67 cts. the full amount of said Decedants Estate whcih came into their hands this 1st day September 1845.
