Sarah DEACON's ___sign of Dower
Feb. 24, 1836


In obedience to an order of the Spencer Circuit Court_____ on the land owned 
by John DEACON Dec' and proceeds to lay of an ___sign to Sarah DEACON (the 
right of Dower in the lands of which her deceased husband did sign and 
po___fied.
The figures 1.1.1.1 1 represent the outside boundaries of the whole tract of 
land bounded as follows.
  Beginning at an ash white walnut and beech tree in the line of Elias BASY 
and running thru North 426 poles to three beech trees a corner to Robert HEDGES 
on the bank of Salt River, thence up said river as it meanders 570 poles to 
two beech trees thence South 82' and 16 poles to a large beech tree and a gum 
that is down on a ____thence South go East 44 poles to three beech trees thence 
west 76 poles to the beginning containing 352 acres  The figures 2.2.2.3 
represent the boundaries of the widows dower containing 1176 acres and bounded 
as 
follows to its beginning at an ash white walnut and beech tree turning thence 
North 215 poles to a stone  in Robert HEDGES line thence South 85'  East 15 
poles to three  beech trees on the bank of the Salt River thence up S. River as 
it meanders 164 poles to two beech trees thence South 82' west 16 poles to a 
large beech and gum tree that is down thence South 30' East 44 poles to three 
beech threes thence west 76 poles to the beginning.  All of which we_____ fully 
submit to the Honorable Spencer County Court given under our ________ February 
24th 1836.
