Deed Book B p. 223 In the name of God Amen I JOHN FROMAN of Spencer County and State of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my Last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife CATHARINE FROMAN my whole estate real and personal so long as she remains single but if she marries it is no longer her property. secondly I also give and bequeath all of my estate real and personal at the death or marriage of my wife CATHARINE FROMAN to be equally divided between my children namely MARY CAIN, NANCY HADDEN, KATHARINE FOREMAN, SOLOMON B. FROMAN, MATILDA FROMAN, JOHN S. FROMAN, MARIA (?) E. FROMAN and AMANDA J. FROMAN. thirdly I also give and bequeath unto my grand children namely CHRISTENA CAIN, MARY CAIN, JAMES CAIN, WILLIAM CAIN, KITTY MARIA CAIN and NANCY E. CAIN one tenth part of my estate both real and personal at the death or marriage of my wife KATHARINE FROMAN. Fourthly I also give and bequest unto my grandson JOHN SAMUEL BROWN one tenth part of my estate both real and personal at the marriage of my wife CATHARINE. Fifthly that all my property both real and personal is to be the property of CATHARINE FROMAN my wife until she marries or dies whom I hereby appoint the sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16 July 1831.
