Will Book B p. 212 In the Name of God Amen I FRANCES JACKSON of Spencer County and state of Ky being Sick in body but thanks be to all mighty God in my Right mind do acknowledge this my Last Will and Testament and after Conveying my sole to god & Body to the grave I appoint my Beloved wife BETSY JACKSON, my son JOEL and my Son-in-Law FRANCES TAYLOR as executors to this my Will. and first my Will is that my executors pay all my Just debts together with my funeral expenses out of my estate again my will is that my Land on which I now live remains in sole possession of my wife and also that my wife have in her possession during her life my Negro property: DANIEL, HETTY, JERRY & PHEABY together with one third of all the personal property of my estate during her life. I have given my Daughter LUCY of my estate one hundred Dollars. I have given my Daughter NANCY four Hundred dollars, one negro girl named HARRIETT Included in the above sum. I have given my son JOEL three hundred and twenty dollars, one Negro boy named GEORGE to be included in the above sum. I have given my son FRANCIS COLEMAN forty dollars I have given to my son EDWIN fifty dollars and further my will is that after my Decease that all my negroes be Hired out by my executors for the payment of my just debts taking care to have Enough Negroes on the farm as will be sufficient to support the family . and further my will is that after my just debts are all paid that my executors after leaving with my beloved wife the above named Property assigned to during her lifetime make a Division of all the Remaining part of my estate among all my children taking care that what I have already given NANCY, LUCY, JOE, FRANCIS COLEMAN and EDWIN be counted in making that Equality and further my will is that if the Judgement of my executors think it be to the benefit of my Legatees to sell the farm on which I now live they buy a smaller and less priced one for my wife to reside on in her life that they by the authority of my will have the right to do so given under my hand and seal this 14 Jany 1830 (signed) FRANCIS JACKSON In the presence of PHILIP W.
