He was born in Frankfort, June 6, 1938, a son of the late Alex Coleman and Wilena Rodgers Cinnamond. He was owner of Economy Drug of Pikeville and Goody, a member of the Pikeville Rotary Club, past president of Pikeville Rotary, former district governor of Rotary, benefactor of the Rotary Foundation, a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the UK School of Pharmacy, and a UK Fellow. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Wiley Cinnamond; one son, Cade Coleman Cinnamond of Pikeville; three daughters, Cara Hood of Lexington, Catherine Cinnamond and Rebecca Self, both of Vermont; one brother, Edwin Thomas Cinnamond of Danville; and two grandchildren, Jada Hood and Marley Hood. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under direction of J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville. Visitation will be at the chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association or to one’s favorite charity.
