Hubbard, 86, of the Beechville community, died at his home on Wednesday, October 9, at 11:15, following an illness of several months. Engaged in farming all his life, he had been active in his work until the last year or so. He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church at Beechville and had been a deacon there for 45 years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Fields of Lebanon, Mrs. Esta Garmon, Beechville, one son James Henry Hubbard, Beechville; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; two brothers, Marshall Hubbard, Beechville; the Rev. J. W. Hubbard, Webbs Cross Roads; four sisters, Mrs. Will Dowell, Montbello Calif; Mrs. Flora Cassady, Beechville; Mrs. Louvenia Roller, Trafalcon, Indiana, Mrs. Walker McKinney, Sulphur Well. His wife, Mrs. Laura Ann Oakes Hubbard, died October 20, 1954. Funeral services were held at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church on Friday by the Rev. Walter Hubbard. Burial was in Pink Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hershell McKinney, Albert Hubbard, Belvidere Hubbard, Preston Hubbard, Jimmy Hubbard and Damon McKinney. ************************************** Metcalfe County Wills: I, H.P. Hubbard of Sulphur Well, Metcalfe County Ky. being of sound mind and desire to make a will, At my Death I desire that my just debts to be payed if I should have any. Then I hereby will and bequeath to my wife Laura A. Hubbard my entire estate consisting of real estate, money if there should be any, Household and Kitchen furniture, horses, mules & cows, gos, farming implements, wagons, buggies, and all personal property not herein mentioned. That I now have or may acquire, to have her lifetime or so long as she remains my widow I hereby give her the right to sell and dispose of any of the personal property that she may see fit to do so and at the death of the said Laura A. Hubbard then what ever there is remaining to be divided as follows, First my two daughters Esta and Eaecins Hubbard shall receive one Hundred Twenty Eight Dollars and fifty cents ($128.50) a piece as my son Henry Hubbard has received that amount in value, then the remainder is to be divided equally among them I hereby name Laura A. (from Albert's birth certificate) *************************** LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT I, Henry Hubbard, of Beechville, Metcalfe County, Kentucky being of sound mind and disposing memory and desiring to make disposition of my earthly affairs so that no contention may arise concerning the same when I be dead, I hereby made this my last will and testament, and hereby revoke any and all wills, codicils and papers of testament nature heretofore made by me. FIRST: I order and direct my executrix to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of my personnel estate as soon as it is possible after my death. SECOND: I hereby bequeath and give unto my beloved wife, Hallie B. Hubbard all the household furniture and one half of all my personal property, except furniture. THIRD: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Christine Calhoun, the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00). FOURTH: I give and bequeath the balance and remainder of my personal property to my three sons, B. B. Hubbard, Preston Hubbard and Albert Hubbard and their heirs to share equally. FIFTH: I hereby give and devise my real estate, all that I own and possess at the time of my death to my wife, Hallie B. Hubbard, to have for her use and benefit for her life, or until her remarriage, and if she remarries after my death I then direct that my said real estate be sold and one-half of the proceeds there from be distributed to my said wife and the other one-half be distributed equally to all of my children, and if any of my said children be dead then his or her share to his or her bodily heirs. SIXTH: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved wife, Hallie B. Hubbard, executrix of this my last will and testament and I hereby direct the court to allow her to serve without making bond. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this the 25th day of June, 1956, in the presence of each and all subscribing witnesses, each of whom I have requested in the presence of the others to subscribe his name, with his address written opposite thereto, as an attesting witness, in my presence and in the presence of all the others. HUBBARD DIES IN COLUMBIA - Mrs. Hallie Brown Atwell Hubbard of Beechville, died at 3 p.m., Tuesday, at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia. She was 70 years of age. A member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, she was the widow of Henry Hubbard who died several months ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Christine Shaw of Commerce, Texas; three sons, B.B. Hubbard and Albert Hubbard of Edmonton, and Preston Hubbard of Fern Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Jeffries of Edmonton, and Mrs. Maple Charleston of Oaktown, Indiana; also 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Claude McCubbins in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Friday, and burial will be in Pink Ridge Cemetery. *********** 1880 Metcalfe Co., Ky.
