He died suddenly at 8:45 a.m. Friday, April 21st at his home. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was a well-known painter here in Taylor County for some thirty-eight years. He united in marriage to Miss Edith Hendrickson February 5, 1935 and to this union one son and three daughters were born: Mr. James E. Dicken of Campbellsville, Mrs. Glen "Doris" Smith and Miss Linda Lou Dicken, both of Route 1, Campbellsville, Mrs. Charles "Pauline" Brown of Franklin, Ind; eleven grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Mr. Ray Dicken and Mrs. Emma Sexton, both of Campbellsville, Mr. Paul Dicken of Route 4, Campbellsville, Mrs. Dehoney Harrison of Route 2, Campbellsville, Mr. Earl Dicken of Dayton, Ohio. Also survived by several nieces and nephe! ws and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, April 23 in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. John C. Hays. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Paul Coffey, Carl Hendrickson, Sam Neeley, Jack Eastridge, Albert Guin Skaggs and Raymond Camp. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Hamilton, George Arvin, Coleman Lee, Frank Shreve, Danny Brown, H.R. Richardson and David E. Bumgardner.
