Hord, 75, of Russell Road, Campbellsville, died Monday, July 27, 1998 in Nashville, Tenn., after an illness. Daughter of the late James Turner Campbell and Nina Beams Campbell, she was born in Taylor County, Ky., on Oct. 16, 1922, and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. Hord was a retired school teacher for the Taylor County School System. She was married to Oliver D. Hord on Dec. 19, 1964, who preceded her in death on June 4, 1998. Hord is survived by one son, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Larry D. Hord of Helenwood, Tenn., Marilyn and J.R. Byrd of Brentwood, Tenn., and Sandy and Frank Gaskins of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Travis Hord, Tina Leinhart, Blake Aaron Byrd and Amy Nicole Byrd of Tennessee, and Curt and Tracy Gaskins of Campbellsville; one great-granddaughter, Chrissy Leinhart of Tennessee; and two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Aileen Blake, Ruby McMahan and Roger A. Smith, all of Campbellsville. Also, five first cousins,! Roger William Beams of Campbellsville, Nina Thueneman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Granzow of Billings, Mont., and Kary Ward and Bernice Dyer of Sandwich, Ill.; and a second cousin, Rondall Beams of Campbellsville. She was also preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Lillian Black and Lena Smith. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 29 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, with burial in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Hall and the Rev. Leo Curry officiated. Pallbearers were Roger Lee Beams, Steve Crawley, Frank Gaskins, Larry Hord, David Keeton and Harold Mills. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Beams, Alfred Davidson, Delbert Dix, Jimmie Kendall, Johnny Price, D.L. Quisenberry, Jeff Simpson and Welby Simpson.
