This servant of the Lord was the oldest member in years of the Campbellsville Baptist Church, and one of the four who membership covers a period of 52 years. In 1911 Campbellsville Church began a mission in the southern section of the city. No one made a greater contribution to it than did Mrs. Hord. From this mission work grew the South Campbellsville Baptist Church which now has a membership of more than 800. She followed the plan of teaching the Bible book by book, which she did until she was 90 years of age, though she continued in the gatherings for worship until a few weeks before her death. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, J. Chester Badgett, assisted by two ex-living pastors, James L. Robinson and Harvey F. Morrison, whose combined pastorates extend over the past 33 years. They were one in their testimony to Mrs. Hord's loyalty and devotion to the work of t! he Lord, and expressed their thanksgiving to God for her helpfulness in their ministry. Mrs. Hord is survived by five daughters - Mrs. Aubrey Peterson, Mrs. R. S. Bailey, Mrs. David Mitchell and Mrs. Muriel Lippincott, all of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Charles B.
