W. Hord, of this place, died Tuesday at 1 p.m. after an illness of two or three days. The subject of this notice was a young man of more than ordinary ability. His manners were winsome and attractive. He was a great favorite among his comrades, who respected him as an example of sobriety and manliness. His Sunday School teacher and members of the class feel their loss keenly, though we try to submit to the will of God who makes no mistakes, our loss is His gain. The departed leaves a father, a mother, five sisters, one brother and a host of relatives to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church by Rev. H. A. Barnett, and interment took place in Brookside Cemetery. We extend sympathy to all so sorely bereaved. May God's grace sustain them in this sad afflction. - Sunday School Teacher.
