Otha Allen, 86, a retired farmer of Sportsman Lake Road, Campbellsville, died 
Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in Greensburg due to an illness. Son of the late John 
Dave Allen and Bertie Arvin Allen, he was born in Taylor County, Ky., on Dec. 
16, 1912, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. Allen was also a 
member of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge #670 F&AM. He was married to Ina May 
Hancock on Dec. 21, 1938, who preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 1998. He is 
survived by 10 daughters and three sons and daughters-in-law, Martha and Ellis 
Shelton and Barbara and Kenneth Harris of Greensburg, Vernon Allen of 
Columbus, Ind., Otha and Susan Allen of Lebanon, Davetta and Wayne Buckner, 
Gloria and Bobby Cave, Carolyn and Johnny Gaines, Lucille and G.R. Coyle, 
Glenda and David Shreve, Keith and Donna Allen, and Eveylene and Richard 
Jeter, all of Campbellsville, Joyce and Robert Dowell of LaGrange, and Sharon 
and Ron Gregory of Prospect; 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He!
  was also preceded in death by one sister, Flora Bright; and two great-
grandchildren.
