Submitted by Debbie Dicken Mrs. Clyda Wise Minor, 85, a retired school teacher of the Spurlington Community in Taylor County, Campbellsville, Route 6, daughter of the late Mr. T.A. Wise and Mrs. Annie Farmer Wise, was born in Taylor County, April 6, 1888. She died at 1:20 a.m. at the Taylor County Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past six days. She had been a patient at the Medco Center of Campbellsville for one year. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was the oldest member in age and in years of membership of the Liberty Baptist Church near Spurlington. She united in marriage to Mr. Sanford Minor April 19, 1942. He preceded her in death December 2, 1956. Survivors are: two step-daughters and two step-sons: Mrs. Floy Smith and Mr. Leslie Minor, both of Campbellsville, Mr. George Minor of Monticello, Kentucky, Mrs. Charles Hill of Omaha, Nebraska; and two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and one sister: Mr. Marvin Wise and Mrs. Walter Wise, both of Campbellsville, Route 6; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home by Dr. D.L. Druien. Burial was in Liberty Church Cemetery near Spurlington. Pallbearers: Robert L. Wise, Edward McGuire, Carl Ray Wise, Tommy Johns, J.C. Magers, and Donnie Gorin. Unknown Taylor Co. newspaper, no dateline.
