Submitted by Debbie Dicken Leslie Minor, 77, of 102 Pearl Circle in Campbellsville, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Taylor County Hospital. He was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was employed by U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind. for 42 years before his retirement in 1967. He was a member of the Taylor County Sportsman Club and the Roosevelt Masonic Lodge #716 F&AM in Hobart, Ind. He united in marriage to Mary Ola Bryant Dec. 2, 1938. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother and two sisters; Mrs. Floye M. Smith of Campbellsville; Mrs. Charles M. (Montye) Hill of Louisville; and George W. Minor of Monticello, Ky.; one niece, Betty M. Gorin of Campbellsville; several other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Paul Patton and Bro. Dale Hickey. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.W. Minor, D.A. Newton, Lenny Newton, Bobby Newton, Joe Smith and Earl Gwinn. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Neeley, Paul Coop, Carl Watson, Maurice Pruett, George Callison, Sam Breeding, Jack Wilkins, Eston Bartley and A.C. Berry. Unknown Taylor Co. newspaper, no dateline.
