Submitted by Debbie Dicken Lucille Spurling, 62, Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Minor and Mary Gupton Minor, was born in Taylor County, March 26, 1928. She died at 4:20 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1991, in Lebanon, after an illness. She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She was married to Charles W. Spurling on Jan. 23, 1949. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and one daughter, Randall Charles Spurling and Don Kenneth Spurling, both of Campbellsville, and Judy Garland, Farmersville, Ohio; two grandsons and two granddaughters, Shawna Spurling, Campbellsville, Robin Garland, Christopher Garland and Joey Garland, all of Farmersville; one great-grandson, Miles O'Neil Spurling, Campbellsville; five sisters and four brothers, Johnetta Rash, Christine Wise, J.W. Minor, Ray Minor and Dean Minor, all of Campbellsville, Sarah Minor, Louisville, Edith Dabney, Paducah, Ruth Stone, Columbus, Ohio, and James Minor, Brown County, Ind.; several nieces and nephews and many! other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Elaine Spurling. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Rev. Lester Carter officiating. Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Greg Rash, Byron Rash, Mark Rash, Jimmy Spurling, Harold Spurling and Edwin Spurling.
