WILLS: Will of John C. Sanders, 1864, Taylor County, Kentucky Taylor Co. Will Book 1 pg. 133, 30-July-1861 Will of John C. Sanders, My wife is to hold the home tract of land, all household property and as much stock as she chooses, during her lifetime, and the Marr place, containing 50 acres. My wife may keep any slave for her use or hire them out to the family, the proceeds are to be for her and the minor children. All money owed me is to be collected and placed out on interest. The interest is to be used for clothing and schooling my minor children, NANCY ROBINSON and G. ALFRED CALWELL and to support my wife. My son-in-law ISAAC C. CHAUDOIN and my daughter MARGARET CHAUDOIN, to have all that I have given them, also 50 acres, adjoining them, at $6 per acre. My daughter, MARY JANE WRIGHT, is to have the 88 acres she now lives on, at $6 per acre. this is not to be subjected to any debts owed by WASHINGTON G. WRIGHT. My son, E. T. SANDERS, is to have the tract of land he now lives on at $6 per acre. My son, HENRY SANDERS, is to have all that I have given him and the 125 acres adjoining ROBERT ROBINSON, at $5 per acre. My son, JOHN C. SANDERS, is to have all I have given him and the tract of land where he now lives at $6 per acre, except a piece of land by the meandering of a branch and then up to the Campbellsville and Saloma Road. My son, ROBERT B. SANDERS, is to have all I have given him and the land he now lives on at $5 per acre. My daughter, ELIZABETH is to have all I have given to her, and a piece of my land of her choice valued at $500. My daughter, NANCY and son GEORGE ALFRED CALWELL are to made equal in property with the rest of my children. Including horses, saddles, bed and bed clothing. My daughter, ANN SHOFNER, is to have all I have given to her, and the tract of land that I have rented to APPERSON, at $4 per acre. My son, GEORGE ALFRED CALWELL, is to have the home tract of land valued at $1000 together with the MARR place at the death of his father and mother. All children are to be made equal.
