Johnson Senr. of Trigg County, Kentucky of the one part, and Gregory D. Johnson jr., of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said G. D. Johnson Senr. has this day for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge, hath bargained and sold to Gregory D. Johnson Jr. a certain tract of land lying in the County aforesaid on Tennessee River and bounded as follows, Viz Begining at a hickory on the Bank of the River at the mouth of Barnett’s Creek, thence North 54 poles to a white oak on the bank of the creek, thence thence (sic) N. 61º. E 96 poles to two black hickorys & poplars, thence N 20º E 56 poles to a Spanish Oak and poplar, thence N. 42º E 48 poles to a poplar thence N. 68º E 60 poles to a hickory and post oak William G. Grand corner, thence with his line N. 40º W 80 poles to a Spanish oak, ash & elm, thence N 68º W. 20 poles to a poplar and dogwood thence S. 36º W 66 poles to a red oak and two hickorys thence West 38 poles to a forked chesnut thence W. 45 poles to a white oak & elm on the Bank of the River, thence W. 140 up the meanders of the River S. 20º E 70 poles to a stake, thence South 34º E 74 poles to the beginning. Containing One hundred and fifty acres, be the Same more or less. And the said G. D. Johnson Senr. doth hereby warrant and defend the afsd One hundred & fifty acres of land to the said Gregory D. Johnson jr. against the claim of himself his heirs or assigns or any person or persons claiming under, by or through him his heirs or assigns for ever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand, affixed my Seal the day and date above. Gregory D. Johnson Senr. (Seal) Commonwealth of Kentucky, Trigg County, Sct. I, William Gannon, Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify, that this deed from Gregory D. Johnson Senr. to Gregory D. Johnson Jr. was on this day produced to me in my office, and acknowledged by said Gregory D.
