H. Anderson, a certain female negro slave named Sary. To Have and to Hold the said female negro slave, and her future increase to the only proper use and behoof of the said P. H. Anderson, his executors, administrators and assigns for ever. And I the said Mayfield Johnson for myself, my executors and administrators the said female negro slave with her future increase to the said P. H. Anderson, his executors, administrators and assigns against me the said Mayfield Johnson my executors, administrators and assigns and against all and every other person & persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents, Provided always, and it is hereby agreed between the sd. Parties to these presents that if I the said Mayfield Johnson my executors, administrators or assigns, or any of us do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said P. H. Anderson, or his certain attorney, executors, administrators or assigns, the full sum of One hundred and twenty two dollars, 44 cents, with legal interest thereon from the twelfth day of January eighteen hundred and thirty two, due by note dated the eleventh day January, eighteen hundred and thirty two and payable one day after date, on or before the first day of September next, for the redemption of the hereby bargained and premises then these presents and every clause, article and condition and thing herein contained shall cease and be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect. I, William Gannon, Clerk of the County Court for the County of Trigg do hereby certify, that this deed of mortgage from Mayfield Johnson to P. H. Anderson was on this day produced to me in my office and proven by the oath of A. G. Moore one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act and deed of said Mayfield Johnson the mortgagor.
