Witnesseth, that the said Harrison Johnson has this day sold to the said Hardin Brown for the Sum of One hundred dollars, all that tract or parcel of land which he the said Harrison purchased of his father G. D. Johnson Senr. and a deed for the same now on record in the Trigg County office which contains the courses here to be inserted. Begining at two white oaks, at Ewe’s Spring, runing thence with said spring branch N. 41º w. and leaving the same a short distance below the spring, and continuing same course 135 poles to a poplar, gum, and white oak in said Johnsons line, thence N. 41º E 150 poles to a black oak and black walnut thence South 75º E 44 poles to a black walnut and two elms, thence S. 17º E 40 poles to two black gums, thence S. 20º W 186 poles to the place of beginning, containing One hundred acres, and the said Harrison doth hereby warrant and defend the said one hundred acres of land to him the said Hardin Brown his heirs and assigns for ever against the claim of himself his heirs and assigns or any one claiming under, by, or through him, his heirs or assigns but not against any adverse claims. I, William Gannon, clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify, that this deed from Harrison Johnson to Hardin Brown, was, on this day produced to me in my office, and proven by the several oaths of Washing: W Cilgoar (sic Kilgore) and Beverly Brown, the two subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of said Harrison Johnson, the grantor, whereupon said deed, together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office.
