Services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Heltsley officiating. Burial was in East End Cemetery. A native of Golden Pond, she was born July 25, 1904, the daughter of the late Stapleton and Alice Ross Jones. She was a homemaker, a farmer and former storeowner and a Golden Star Mother. She was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church. Her first husband, Hugh Ahart, and her second husband, L.A. ‘'Dump'' Carr, preceded her in death. Three sons, Francis Glenn, Eldon Reed and Henry Ahart, also preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Gene Ahart, Fairhope, Ala., Cecil Carr, Hopkinsville, Earl and Jimmie Carr, both of Cadiz; a daughter, June Hensley, Cadiz; a brother, Seldon Jones, Hammond, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
