Testaments, translated out of the original tongues, and with the former 
translations diligently compared and revised.  New York:  American Bible 
Society, instituted in the year MDCCCXVI.  1848.  Dimensions:  7 inches by 10½ 
inches, 3 inches thick.  Hard back cover, loose binding, 1214 pages, all pages 
intact.  Includes lock of hair pinned from Lilian Stewart and six obituaries, 
Richard Webb, Jane Stewart, Howard Stewart [3] and Mrs. Jane Stewart.

Additional Comments:
Three letters mailed from Dalbeattie, Scotland, in 1858 indicate John W. 
Stewart's parents were John and Jane Stewart.  He had several brothers and 
sisters.  Unable to trace so far.
