Pritchard THIS INDENTURE made this 2nd. day of October in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and thirty seven between Francis Barnes of the County of Jefferson and Commonwealth of Indiana of the one part and John M. Pritchard of the County of Trimble and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth: That the said Francis Barnes for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is here by acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said John M. Pritchard his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of Trimble on the waters of Corn Creek and bounded as follows towit. Beginning at a large white oak on the top of a ridge between Corn Creek and Connells Spring branch and corner to Joshua Morris now the heirs of Benjamin Barnes decd.thence South thirteen degrees East two hundred and seventy four poles to a white Oak and two beeches formerly the corner of John Morris thence with John Morris's line South seventy seven degrees West ore hundred and twenty poles to two sugar trees and an Elm, thence North eight degrees West two hundred and four poles to a sugar tree, thence South thirty eight and a half degrees West forty eight poles, thence South sixty and a half degrees West seventy two poles to a Buckeye and an Ironwood thence North thirteen and a half degrees West one hundred and sixteen poles to stake in Joshua Morris's line formerly now the heirs of Bengaman Barnes decd.and corner to Georeg Strother in said line thence North seventy six degrees ten seconds East two hundred and twelve poles to the beginning containing two hundred and forty eight acres be the same more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the land hereby x conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said John M. Pritchard his heirs and assigns forever And the said Francis Barnes for himself his heirs executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land and appurtenences unto the said John M. Pritchard his heirs or againsts the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrent and defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said Francis Barnes together with Ava Barnes his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of Dower in and to the lands conveyed in this deed hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date first above written.
