Deed: Fredrick Crafton: Trimble Co: 1841 Submitted by: Joy Mack Email: cmuck@seidata.com Trimble County Courthouse Bedford, Kentucky Deed Book A, pg. 477-478 Dated 8 Oct 1841 Grantor: Fredrick Crafton and William Richmond Grantee: James Richmond Know all men by these presents that I Frederick Crafton and William Richmond of the County of Trimble and State of Kentucky of the first part & James Richmond of the County and State aforesaid withnesseth: that the party of the first part hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid and for the futher consideration of the said James Richmond being security in the several notes given this day and the first due March 1st.1841 for the sum of one hundred dollars and one for one hundred and twenty five dollars due 1st.of March 1843 and one for one hundred and twenty five dollars due 1st.of March 1843 all of the said notes were given to Daniel B. Johnson. Now the said party this day for the above consideration hath this day bargained and sold unto James Richmond a certain tract or parcel of land the same place of land that the said party of the first part bought this day of D.B. Johnson and the said above notes were given for the said land now if Frederick Crafton & William Richmond or any person for them shall pay the above notes and release the party of the second part from all responsibility in any wise then the above obligation to the null and void else to remain in full force and virtue. I William Samuel Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed of mortgage from F.Crafton and William Richmond was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said F.Crafton and W.Richmond to be their act and deed whereupon the foregoing deed of mortgage together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office, Given under my hand this 8th.of Oct.1841.
