Faulconer Grantee: James Wingham This Indenture made and entered into this fifth day of August One Thousand Eight hundred and sixty five between Robert F. Faulconer and Cornelia Faulconer his wife of the first part and James Wingham of the Second part both parties of the county of Trimble and State of Kentucky. Witnessth that for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred Dollars, Five hundred dollars of which is in hand paid the receipts of which is hereby acknowledged by the parties of the first part and for the balance Said Wingham has this day executed to said Faulconer his three several promisary notes being date herewith the first for Five hundred and thirty three dollars and 33 1/3 cents due the 1st day of March 1866, the second for a like sum and due on the 1st of March 1867, and the third and last note for a like sum due on the first of March 1868. The said parties of the first part hath and by these presents doth bargain Sell convey and deliver unto the said James Wingham his heirs and assignes the following tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Trimble and State of Kentucky, on the waters of Canip creek and Bounded as follows Beginning at a Small Sycamore on the bank of Canip creek Hence N 61 W 136 poles to a Sugartree White oak & dogwood on a hill Side, Hence S 22 W 60 poles to a stake Hence S 2 1/2 E 29 poles to John (Sysurus?) on the Hill Side Comes to Mr. Ball Hence S 40 W 28 poles to a white oak and black ash on the brow of the hill, Hence S 80 E 91 poles to a Stone in Shotwell and Wards live in the creek bottom. Hence down with the Meanders of the creek 94 1/2 poles to the beginning supposed to contain Seventy five acres - To have and to hold the above described premises together with all the Appurtenance there on unto him the Said James Wingham his heirs and assignes forever; so with covenient of General Warranty a lieu is hereby retained on the above conveyed premises until the three notes above described are fully paid. In witness where of the said Robt. F. Faulconer & wife have hereunto subscribed their names date first written Attest W. F.
