Deed: Gillum: Trimble Co: 1837 Submitted by: Joy Mack Email: cmuck@seidata.com Trimble County Courthouse Bedford, Kentucky Deed Book A, pg. 54 Grantor: Gemima Gillum (Jemima) Grantee: William Campbell I, Gemima Gillum of Trimble Ct.Ky. have this day bargained and sold unto William Campbell of Trimble County of Ky. and the following property Viz: One cow, flesh marks white and black, and two yearlings calves, one a white and the other red; thirty head of hogs & pigs, one eight day clock, two beds & steads and furniture, one bureau, four sheep, cupboard furniture for the sum of seventy five dollars. It is understood that if the said Gemima Gillum shall pay the said William Campbell the sum of seventy five dollars on or before the 1st day of May, 1838, then then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Given under my hand and seal this 10 day of October 1837. Jemima Gillum, (seal) Wm. Campbell, (seal) I, James Latty Clerk protempore of the County Court for the County of Trimble in the State of Kentucky, do certify that this Mortgage from Jemima Gillum to William Campbell was this day produced to me in my County and acknowledged by the said Jemima Gillum to be her act and deed for the purposes therein specified, and the same together with this certificate hath been duly amitted to record in my office.
