Toombs Grantee: Jefferson Toombs The State of Texas} County of Wood} Know all men by these presents that I W. S. Toombs of the county and state aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to me in hand paid the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have Bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey to Jefferson Toombs of the county of Randolph in the State of Missouri all my rights title claim and interest the same being an undivided one Eighth interest in and to one Hundred and Forty-three acres of land setuated int he county of Trimble in the State of Kentucky my said one Eighth interest in said Land being in sight of My Father Washington Toombs and being the Same premises conveyed by Jefferson Toombs by E. Milner by deed dated 28 day of March 1864 To have and to hold my said one Eighth interest in and to said tract of one hundred and forty three acres of land more or less inherited as aforesaid my Father Washington Toombs together with all & singular the rights privilages Improvements & appurtenances Thences to belonging to him the said Jefferson Toombs his heirs and assigns forever and the Title Thereby I will warrant and does defend against all legal claimants Witness my hand and seal Scroll for seal this fourth day of December A.D. 1871 Attest A.
