Bible handed down to Joy Mack DEATH OF WILLIAM CULVER Aged Former Resident of This County Dies in Trimble County, Ky. Special to The Madison Courier. MILTON, Ky., Oct. 18 ----William Culver, aged 81, died early this morning at his home near Carmel, four miles south of here, after an illness of over a year from the infirmities of advanced age. He was born in Jefferson county, Ind., Dec. 2, 1842, and served during the civil war in the 82d Indiana volunteer infantry. Mr. Culver came to Trimble county, Ky., forty eight years ago and settled on the farm near Carmel where he died. He was a member of the Methodist church, good husband and father and worthy citizen and farmer. Besides the widow, aged 77, and in feeble health, two sons survive, Robert L., of Trimble county, Ky., and Frank, of near Madison, Ind. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, at two o'clock at Pleasant View M.
