Rites Held Here Sunday Afternoon For Mrs. Huff Annie Wise Huff, daughter of the late John and Anetia Perkinson was born in Trimble county, December 6, 1874, and departed this life on April 14, 1950, being 75 years, 4 months and 8 days of age. On February 4, 1890, she was united in marriage to Richard Henry Wise, who preceded her in death on September 10, 1915. Ten children were born to this union; seven survive: Louis Wise, Mable Craig, Bertha Staples, Vada Abbott, Elmo Wise, Oscar Wise, and Mary Edna Gosman. Hazel, Janie, Florence and Raymond passed away in early childhood. Two sisters, Ida Huff and Hattie Perkinson and one half-brother, Cleveland Perkinson, preceded her in death. Three half sisters, Linnie Browning, Stella Ball, and Florence Culver, and two half brothers, Villie and Lester Perkinson, of Indiana; forty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; a large number of neices and nephews, and a multitude of other relatives and friends are left to mourn the passing of "Aunt Annie" as she was familiarly known. On November 10, 1920, she untied in marriage with James "Tiny" Huff, who departed this life, December 1, 1944. In early childhood, she became a member of Middle Creek Baptist church; later moved her membership to the Bedford Baptist church, where she remained a faithful member as long as health permitted. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Bedford Baptist church with the Rev. Herman Rowlett in charge.
