Obituary: Trimble County: 1928 Submitted by: Joy Mack Email: cmuck@seidata.com Newspaper clipping found in Culver Family Bible that has been handed down to Joy Mack. Trimble Banner dated March 1920. ROBERT L. JOYCE Quietly as he had lived just so the spirit of Mr. Robert L. Joyce slipped from it's earthly tenement into the land of Rest, Tuesday morning March 23rd., 1920. He had been suffering for quite awhile with a cancer on his head and he became very much worse the latter part of last week and gradually sank from Sunday to life's close. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Annie Goley, from Indiana, and two grown sons, Albert and Edward. He also leaves three brothers, Pliny, Frank and James B. Joyce and two sisters, Mrs. Will Culver and Mrs. Geo. Averitt, all of Trimble County, but Mrs. Averitt, who lives near Hanover, Ind. He was not a church member but inclined toward the M.E. church. He was a quite, timid, honor, loving and God fearing man and though he never made a public confession (possibly his timidity kept him from it) we feel we can say, All is well with him. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Bedford at 2 o'clock by Rev. Williams, of Milton, and the remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Peace to his ashes. ********************************** USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genelaogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities as long as this message remains on all copied material.
