Will of Sarah Bain: dated 1849

            I Sarah Bain of the County of Trimble and State of Kentucky do 
hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form 
following (viz.)
            It is my will and design that after all my Just debts and 
funeral expenses are paid that my Grandson Thomas Calvin O Bain have Sixty 
Dollars for his use and benefit forever.
           2nd It is my will and desire that my negro woman May be Set free 
and that she enjoy all the privileages of a free person agreeable to the 
laws of the State.
           3rd It is my will and desire that the balance of my estate be 
equally divided between my Daughter Elvira Bain and my son Archibald Bain 
and lastly I do appoint my son Archibald Bain Executor to this my last will 
and testament hereby revokeing all other or former wills by me made.

          Given under my hand this 2nd day of November 1849.

                           County Court July Term

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Sarah Bain 
Deceased was produced in Court and proven by the oaths of W. Samuel & S. 
Maddox the two subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded 
which is accordingly done.
