L. H. (rock with only initials) There are 12 rocks that probably at one time had some sort of an initial carved on them, or else just served as a grave marker. There are about 21 cedar trees, all of which serve as a grave markers. I have been told by my grandmother that the 4 trees closest to her parents stone (Hiram and Bessie) are 4 of her baby brothers. ************************ These graves listed below have appeared in the newspaper, and I have a picture of the Harper stone OVERFIELD - Steven May 9, 1997 age 4 months. ( I do not know if he has a stone, but he was buried here) HARPER - Lloyd J. July 29, 1939 (double stone) HARPER - Mary H. Nov. 22, 1942 July 26, 1996 HAZEL - Gordon Lee Dec. 15, 1935 Nov. 17, 1993 (I do not know if he has a tombstone) ************************** These graves are proven by death certificates as being buried at Hazel Cemetery or Hazel Bend Cemetery, most likely some of them have a cedar tree planted as their "tombstone". He is listed in birth records and my grandmother used to point to a certain cedar tree next to her parents grave and say "That is where Paul is buried at, my baby brother."
