RECORDS:  Newcom, 50th Anniversary,  1998,  Union Co, KY

	Cecil & Betty Newcom, of Sullivan, plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary  by renewing their vows at the Sullivan Baptist Church on Sept. 4 at 6pm.
	Newcom and the former Betty (Baby Ann) Martin were married Sept. 4, 1948, at the Sullivan Baptist Church by Pastor Z. T. Connaway. They were attended by W. D. and Anna Ladd, both now deceased.
	The Newcoms have one son Mickey and three grandchildren.
	Cecil retired from the Bursby Creek Coal Mines in Illinois in May 1992. Betty is still active in tax preperation.
	A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple prefer no gifts.
