She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hodge Lancaster in 1956, and by her second husband Samuel Littlepage in 1981 and a daughter Nora Barron in 1997. Survived by two dauthers, Cindy "Potts" Ray of Henderson, and Delona Collins of Morganfield; one son , Hodge Lancaster of Henderson; one sister, Anna Ruth Staple of Henderson; 8 grandchildren, 11 gr.. grandchildren, neices and nephews. Funeral services were Sat. Apr. 17, 1999 at Tapp's Funeral Home in Henderson with burial in Fernwood Cemetery. She was a member of the Christian faith. RUTH SNYDER - 55, Uniontown, died Mon. Apr. 19, 1999 at her home. Suvivors include her husband James; three daughters, Annette Tapp of Sturgis, Cyrstal Robison of Morganfield and Gail Lowery of Lexington; one step daughter, Linda Mayberry of Morganfield; three step sons, Richard Snyder of Uniontown, John Snyder of Morganfield, and Amos Harris of Ashland, Ky; one sister, Jo Ann Ruggeburg, Daveport, IA; four brothers, John Earling of Custard Park, IL., Bill Earling of Morris, IL., Bobby Earling of Ruddick, IL., and Steve Earling of Bourbonaise, IL; two grandchildren. Mrs. Snyder was born July 5, 1943 to Zola Stoddard Earling and John Edward Earling in Wilmington, IL. LEE ROY HOWARD - 74, Henderson, died Thurs. Apr. 1, 1999 at Welborn Baptist hospital in Evansville. Survived by his wife Nettie; daughters Barbara Kurtz and Sandy Ward of Henderson and Vickie Willett of Waverly; step daughters Mary Ann Butler of Webster, Ky and Jackie Barnett of Newark, OH; a sister, Margaret Mosby of Tell City; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Howard was a World War II veteran, retired from Whirlpool Coorporaton and a retired carpenter. NORA RHODES - 84 Henderson, formerly of Sturgis, died Thurs. Apr. 1, 1999 at Medco Nursing Home in Henderson. Preceded in death by her brother Lee Brown in 1998, Henry Hartweck, her son Donald Hartweck and her husband Louie Rhodes. Survived by one son, Robert Hartweck of Tell City; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. MARY RIGGS - 93, Morganfield, died Sun. Apr. 4, 1999, at the Methodist Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband Tommy Riggs in 1958, two brothers, Herber Thomas & Jesse Thomas, three sisters, Thelma Heavrin, Ada Belle and Miss Frankie Thomas. Survived by a son, Bill Tom of Morganfield; a sister Anna Conway of Louisville; a brother Jim Thomas of Santa Clara, CA; four grandchildren, 9 gr. grandchildren and 1 gr. gr. grandchild. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Daughters of the Nile, and a mother of the Eastern Star Chapter 226, a 70 year member. She was born Nov. 14, 1905 in Union County to Hamilton Lee Thomas and Anna (Buchanan) Thomas. Apr. 7, 1999 at her home in Sturgis. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wicks in 1998; one son Wayne Wicks in 1978 and a daughter, Donna Wicks in 1996. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorene Callender Shouse, one daughter, Marilyn Baker of Charlotte, NC; five sons, Gerald, Dennis, Larry, all of Morganfield, Charles of Thousand Palms, CA and Phill Shouse of Winter Parks, FL; one sister, Alberta White of Evansville; 12 grandchildren, 4 gr. grandchildren. Survived by two daughters, Karen McBride of Waverly, and Kim Taylor of Morganfield; two sons, Michael D. Baker of Princeton, IN., and Randall K. Apr. 24. 1999 at Benton- Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery in Livermore. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Uniontown. WOODROW W. "WOODY" WILSON - absent in body, present in the Lord, Friday April 23, 1999, beloved husband of Lida Hodge, dear father of Dolores (Gary) Brown and Bruce (Sharon) Hodge, dear brother of Fidelia Powell and A. Y. Hodge, our dear father in law, brother in law, grandfather of 7, uncle and cousin. Mr. Hodge in state at the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 777 Oakwood (at Hwy 141), Sun. April 25, 3 til 9 pm; then to First Baptist Church of Fenton, Monday April 26, for service Monday at 1pm. Interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hodge was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Fenton and member of UAW Local 136A. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to First Baptist Church of Fenton Building Fund. DENNIS J. OLDHAM - 31, Wheatcroft died at 7:30pm Thurs. Apr. 29 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on KY 143 near Blackford. He was a member of New Harmony Rocksprings Baptist Church in Wheatcroft. Survived by his parents, Tony & Joy Oldham of Wheatcroft; five sisters, Connie Bryant & Tonia Patry of Wheatcroft, Yolonda Abell of Clay, Michele Buckman of Sturgis adn Kathy Daniel of Sebree; nieces and nephews. Services were 2pm Sunday at New Harmony Rocksprings Baptist Church with burial in Rocksprings Cemetery.
