William "Bill" A. Lulack, 71, of Evansville, IN, died at 8:15pm Saturday, March 28 at Deaconess Hospital. Bill began working for Whirlpool corporation in 1947, he retired in 1985 after 38 years of Service. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the military police. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruby (Ames) Lulack of Evansville, IN. One sister, Marge Lewis of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and two brothers, Rudy Lulack of Kenosha, WI and Dr. Jack Lulack of Plaines, MT. Funeral services will be today at 11am at Browning Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct grave side rites. James M. Cooper, 100, of Sturgis, KY died at 4:10am Wednesday, March 26th at Union County Methodist Hospital. James was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He worked for West Kentucky Coal Company for 42 years, Superintendent of Coal Loading Tipple for 20 years 1937-1957. James was preceded in death by his Lanie in 1989, his daughter, Margaret Christian in 1992 and a son Max Cooper in 1980. One surviving son Bill Cooper of Sturgis. Five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were 2pm Sunday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with brother Tom Kirby officiating. Burial was at Boxville Cemetery, in Union County. Phyllis A. Russelburg, 51 of Morganfield, died at 5:05pm Monday, March 30 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mrs. Russelburg is survived by her husband of 34 years, Kenneth Russelburg. One daughter, Bryanna Russelbug of Uniontown, one son, Bryan Russelburg of Spring Grove. Her mother, Ida Gibson of Uniontown, two sisters, Linda Stapleton of Brandenton, FL., and Sandy Turner of Uniontown. Funeral Services will be at 10:30am Thursday April 2 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Friends may call from 3-9 pm Wednesday and until service time Thursday. Rev. Dwight Jackson will be officiating and burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown. Mary Hosman, 85, of Morganfield, died at 6:30pm Sunday March 29th at Union County Methodist Hospital. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Herman Hosman in 1983. She is survived by her two sons, Gerald Hosman of Sturgis and Francis Hosman of Morganfield. One brother, Frank Alvey of Evansville, IN. She also has four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be today at 1:30pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield. Father Patrick Bittel will be officiating and burial will be at McClure's Chapel Cemetery in Boxville, KY. John H. Norris, 77, of Uniontown, KY died at 10:29pm Saturday, March 28 at V. A. Nursing Home in Marion, IL. John was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Evansville, IN and a memer of the VFW in Paducah, KY. Her served in the U. S. Army in WWII. Born February 24, 1921 to John Hardin Norris Sr and Virginia Mary (Smith) Norris. Retired as a civil engineer for the Corps of Engineer. Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Norris in 1993. He is survived by three daughters, Claudie Norris of Evansville, IN, Janice Kemble of Paducah, KY, Janet Jones of Mackey, IN; one son, Thomas Norris of Evansville, IN. Two sisters, Jimmie Greenwell of Uniontown, and Charlene French of Uniontown. One brother, Stanley Norris of Evansville. Funeral services will be today at 10:30am at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Alma Norman Wathen, 73, of Morganfield, KY, died 1:08am Thursday, April 2nd, at Union County Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Wathen was the secretary to Circuit Court of Union, Webster, and Crittenden Counties and secretary to the Law Office of Will Tom Wathen & Wesley. She was also a member of the Jane Waller Circle and the Betty Threlkeld Sunday School Class. Her husband said if his opinions reflected a lawyers bedside manner then it was hers. Alma Wathen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Will Tom Wathen of Morganfield, KY. She had three sons and 2 daughter in laws, Dan & Sharon Wathen of Youngstown, OH, Tom & Donna Wathen of Lexington, KY and Steve Wathen of Nashville, TN. She has 3 grandchildren, Bonnie & Will Wathen of Youngstown, OH and Brenton Wathen of Lexington, KY. Mrs. Wathen also has 1 sister, Luccille Robertson of Springfield, MO and 1 brother, Murray Norman of Chicago, IL. Bob Dunlop officiating, with burial at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. Margaret G. Allen, 86, Crawford, IN, formerly of Morganfield, KY, died March 31st at 4:30am at her home in Crawford, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Allen Jr in 1981. Margaret is survived by 2 daughters, Dorothy Coudret of Crawford, IN and Mary Elpers of Evansville, IN. One son, Dr. Jame Allen of Cynthiana, KY, two sisters, Dorothy Lindle of Sturgis and Betty Coblen of Frankfort, KY and two brothers, Sam Greenwell of Morganfield and Richard Greenwell of Owensboro, KY. She has 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Allen worked at the Census Bureau in Washington DC from 1932 to 1934 and taught music at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Evansville, IN. She was a 1929 graduate of Morganfield High School, was a member at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield, KY, St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Evansville, IN, and St. Bernards's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, IN. Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 17, 1911 in Waverly, KY to the later Mary Payne Greenwell and James Greenwell. Services were Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield with burial at St. Ann Cemetery. Rosco Lee Owens, 81, of Dixon, KY died at 10:49am Thursday, April 2, at Regional Medical Center. Rosco is preceded in death by Lou Vinnie in February of 1998. He is survived by five sons, Tommy of Henderson, Ray of Sebree, Bobby of Dixon, Joe of Sturgis, Jimmy "Ernie" of Providence. Two daughters, Mary Asher of Poole and Dottie Walker of Henderson. Two brothers, John of Bountiful, Utah, and William Thomas of Morganfield and four sisters, Virgis Kiser, Goldie Sherrill, Emma Payne and Della Fitzgerald, all of Louisville, KY. Mr. Owens also has 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was Sunday at 1pm and burial was at Farimont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Roy Fuqua, 63, of Morganfield, died at 7:08pm Thursday, April 2, at Union County Methodist Hospital. Roy is survived by five daughters, Rose Fuqua, Janice Rhum and Tonya Fuqua all of Morganfield. Kay Cutler of Marcellus, MI and June Peel of Kirkwood, IL. He also has three sons, Jimmy and Ronald both of Morganfield and Allen of Greenville, KY Mr. Fuqua has two sisters and one brother, Lois Burgess and Rosalee Holms both of Crofton, KY and Ray Fuqua of Morganfield and 9 grandchildren. Services were held Monday April 6 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with burial at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. Lillian Butler, 82, Marion, KY, died Tuesday at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion. Preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Butler in 1987 and her son Ronnie Butler in 1997. Survivors inlcude two daughters; Mrs. Donna Ashby of Uniontown and Mrs. Kim Searles of Huntington, IN. Two sons, William Butler of Uniontown and Michael Butler of Bedford, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice Elizabeth Butler, 84, Sturgis died Wednesday, April 15 in her home in Sturgis. Preceded in death by her husband Ralph Butler in 1984. Survivors include one sister, Martha Riley of Sturgis and one brother, Robert Humphrey of Shepherdsville, KY and several neices and nephews. Services were Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with burial following at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis. Rev. John Coble officiated at the funeral. Harold Jimmy Travis, 68, Providence, died Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. A paper mill operator, he was a member of Victory Baptish Church in Providence and Tri County Fish and Game Club. He was also a US Army veeteran. Survivors include his wife, Marian; one daughter, Lisa Beckner of Providence; two sons, Maj. David McLemore of Alabama and Kenneth A. Travis of Providence; five sisters, Betty Davis of Ballwin, MO, Ann Herzer of Phoenix, AZ, Judy Woodring of Bowling Green, Sue H. Powers of Sturgis, and Fran Gobin of Henderson; two brothers Harvey Walker and James Walker, both of Murray; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Services were Sunday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. Rev. Robert Phillips and Don Cottrell officiated. Charles Addison Butts, 70, Eldorado, IL, died Wednesday, April 15th in Eldorado. He was a miner at Alcoa Mines in Rosiclare. Surviving are a daughter, Anita Diane Goedlemann of Eldorado; two sons, Charles of Antioch, TN and Thomas Euguene of Collinsville; three brothers, Homer Kenneth and Leoma Van Buren Butts, both of Sturgis, KY., and Park Kramer Butts of Summer Shade, KY; and five grandchildren, James Thomas and Justin Heach Butts, Katie Renee and Travis Shaine Heath and Mariah Elizabeth Goedelmann. Services were Saturday with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery in Cave in Rock. Henry Horace Holland, 84, Morganfield, died Monday at VA Medical Center in Marion, IL. Preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Survivors include his wife Bertha A. (Mabrey) Holland of Morganfield and two nephews, John & Charlie Wiborg. Mr. Holland was a 20 year US Army Veteran, retiring in 1961. He served in WW II & the Korean War, as a Sergeant 1st Class. Henry was born November 25, 1913 in Henderson to Robert Edward Holland and Elizabeth (Hazelwood) Holland. Services will be at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, calling time is 10am to 8pm Thursday and 10am until 1pm Friday at the time of service at Whitsell's Funeral Home in Morganfield. Brother Mark Galloway will be officiating and burial will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. Mae Healy, 95, Morganfield, died Tuesday at Medco of Morganfield. She was preceded in death by her husband Darwin Healy in 1987. Survivors include one daughter Diane Baird of Morganfield; four grandchildren, Cindy Greenwell, Laura Hagan, Jimmy Baird and Mitchell Baird., and nine great grandchildren. Ella Lee Sutton, 86, Henderson, died Wednesday at Community Methodist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Elvis Sutton; one daughter, Martha Jean Sutton; and two sons, David Sutton and George Earl Sutton. Survivors include three daughters, Etta Triplett of Georgia and Gloria J. Stanley and Rebecca Roark, both of Henderson; two sons, Phillip Sutton and Paul Sutton, both of Henderson; on sister, Lyda Rigdon of Union County; two brothers, James Sutton of Cairo and Bill Sutton of Henderson; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Services were Friday at Tapp Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Stanley officiated. Burial was at Fernwood Cemetery. James Henry Rose, 79, Morganfield, died Wednesday at Redbanks nursing home in Henderson. Survivors include his wife, Katie B.; three daughters, Daisey Mae Cabell, Anna Mae Rose and Mary Gold; four step daughters; one foster daughter, Nora Lee Smith; four sons, James Junior Rose, John Rose, Robert E. Rose, and Charles William Rose and six other stepsons; one brother, Robert Earl Rose of Long Beach, CA; 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services were Saturday at Bowman Chapel CME Church in Morganfield. The Rev. Ira Higgins officiated. Burial was at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morgafield. Chris Allen Rose, 37, Henderson, formerly of Morganfield, died Sunday in Henderson. He was preceded in death by his father, Denver Rose in 1977. Survivors include his daughter, Mandy Mathis of Morganfield; mother, Allie Mae Adkin of Ceredo, WV; step father, Chester Adkins of Ceredo, WV; three sisters, Nina Legg and Mary Sheppard, both of Henderson, Tina Marks of Jackson, TN and a niece and six nephews. Services were Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. Rev. Earl Burgess officiated. Lawrence Blake, 56, Marion, died Tuesday at home. Survivors include his wife; Glenda Blake; one son, Eddie Blake of Marion; three daughters, Karen Hines of Morganfield, Janet Wahl of NC, and Christina Morris of Sturgis; a brother, Omen Blake of Dycusburg; five sisters, Loistene Kennedy of Prineton, Thelma Brown of Frances, Dottie Patton of Frances, Alimaye Belt of Marion, and Betty Glenn of Dycusburg, and several nieces and nephews. Services were Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial at Rosebud Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Winters officiated. Marion L. Benge Sr. 72, Madisonville, formerly of DeKoven, died Wednesday in Crofton. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Local 60 Indianapolis. He was also a US Navy WWII veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, who died in 1997. Survivors include his companion, Mary Lewis of Madisonville; two daughters, Jody Huxford and Ginger Overpeck, both of Florence; one son, Marion L. Benge Jr of Canton, GA; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Services were Saturday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Jeff Bullock officiated.
