Funeral Services are scheduled for today, Wednesday at 1pm for Gary Churchill who drowned after the horse he was riding bolted in Lake Mauzy, throwing Churchill into the lake.Churchill, 26, was an employee of the Morganfield Wal-Mart. The graveside services will be held at the Morganfield Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. D. T. Fulkerson officiating.Visitation will continue this morning at the Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, until service time. Churchill is survived by his father, Eugene Churchill of Morganfield and a foster son, Preston Whitfield of Morganfield. Also surviving are four sisters, Sandra Howard, Louisville, Sharon Fletcher, Alice Hughes and Lisa Fletcher, all of Morganfield; two brothers, William Fletcher and Jerry Fletcher, both of Morganfield. He is also survived by a special friend, Shawnee Belt, with whom he lived. His mother, Edna Fletcher died in 1997. (more of the article appears in the paper.
